The role that counties play in our every day lives is immeasurable and complex; and it’s a role that few Californians truly understand. That’s why CSAC and our 58 counties are looking to tell their story during National County Government Month, which starts today.
NACo will be hosting a County Jail Diversion Forum in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), PA, May 5th and 6th, 2010. The forum will present counties with a chance to learn about and improve upon local efforts to divert individuals with mental illness from the criminal justice system.
CSAC leadership and staff received some great news earlier this week when we learned that Sonoma County Supervisor Valerie Brown has been named “County Official of the Year” by the online publication Publicceo.com.
