State Advocacy

CSAC's day-to-day advocacy at the state level is overseen by the Association's Deputy Director, along with six legislative representatives. The legislative representatives cover five subject areas of county government: Administration of Justice; Agriculture & Natural Resources; Government Finance & Operations; Health & Human Services; and Housing, Land Use & Transportation.

CSAC works to educate the Legislature and public about the many vital programs and services counties provide to the state's 38 million residents. CSAC's legislative efforts are tracked and shared with the Association's member through a publication called the Legislative Bulletin. Legislative efforts are also discussed and reviewed by the Association's Board of Directors during its regular meetings throughout the year.
