CSAC New Supervisors Institute

2008-09 Sessions

The Second Session of the CSAC New Supervisors is just around the corner. Below you will find the preliminary agenda for the two-day session to be held in Sacramento.

Supervisors who attend all three sessions will receive a "certificate of completion" - and credit - from California State University, Sacramento. New county supervisors who successfully complete the New Supervisors Institute will also receive credit in the newly developed CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government.

The following New Supervisors Institute sessions will be held:

Session 1 -- December 4-5, 2008, San Diego (immediately following the CSAC Annual Meeting

Session II -- February 26-27, 2009, Sacramento, at the CSAC Conference Center

Session III -- April 9, 2009, Sacramento, at the CSAC Conference Center

The New Supervisors Institute, a collaborative program developed by CSAC and the Center for California Studies at CSU, Sacramento, has been tremendously successful in the past. This series of workshops and panel discussions offers a unique opportunity for supervisors to learn important information and to better understand the requirements and environment of their new office.

Even if a supervisor has missed one or both of the first two sessions, we encourage them to attend Session  III.
