Level II: $3807 – $4627/monthly, and Level III: $4206 – $5113/monthly, plus an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS (2.7% at 55) retirement formula. *This position may be subject to a Furlough Program which will result in a reduction of the advertised salary.

The County Assessor’s Office is charged by State law with the responsibility of assessing all real and personal property in the County, except for public utility property.
Level II: One year of experience in performing property appraisal and value determinations comparable to that of an Auditor-Appraiser I with the Madera County Assessor’s Office; and possession of, and ability to maintain, a valid certificate as an Appraiser, issued by the State Board of Equalization.
Level III: Two years of experience in performing business and personal property appraisals and value determinations comparable to those of an Auditor-Appraiser I/II with the Madera County Assessor’s Office; and completion of the core courses for the Advanced Level certificate as an Appraiser issued by the State Board of Equalization.
Both Levels: Equivalent to a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Appraising, Engineering, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; and a valid CDL.
