$153,601—$232,488 annually, plus a competitive benefits package. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, salary history, and career accomplishments.
The Chief Deputy Director, Public Social Services is an unclassified position distinguished by its executive decision-making authority and administrative responsibility for assisting the Director with managing the day-to-day operations of the Department.
The ideal candidate will have an outstanding track record and
reputation for success; someone with proven leadership skills and
demonstrated management experience in a large and complex public
sector environment. This individual must have a strong
administrative and financial management background, particularly
in the areas of budgetary control and human resources
The ideal candidate must also have a strong commitment to providing accountability and transparency. Candidates should be proactive, approachable, and effective in facilitating successful outcomes from a variety of groups and individuals, such as elected officials, state and federal counterparts, and the community.
Education and Experience:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of progressively responsible management experience in a public sector services organization. Management experience to include strategic and operations planning and responsibility for managing a major segment of a public services operation, such as management information systems, budget, fiscal, personnel, contract management and other administrative functions of the organization, including the direction of line operations
