Description:

The City of St. Helena invites applications for the position of City Manager.  St. Helena’s next City Manager has a unique opportunity to build a legacy, both within the City organization, and within the community.  Recent turnover in several key executive positions within the City’s management structure will allow the new City Manager to build a strong executive team. The City Council is eager to engage a City Manager who will build a team to revitalize the internal organization, streamline processes, increase efficiency and promote transparency. 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a broadly-skilled leader and manager, with outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated willingness to engage significantly in the ongoing activities and concerns of this small and tightly-knit community. 

Additional qualifications include a broadly-based and substantial work history, including at least five years of responsible executive leadership and management in either the public or private sector, and education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in business or public administration or a related field.
