$25.50 – $50.70 Hourly

Description:

The County of Orange, Registrar of Voters, seeks a Community Engagement Manager to provide legislative research and analysis, implement marketing and outreach efforts, and support elections.
The Community Engagement Manager:
• provides frequent updates concerning legislative developments and their expected outcomes
• remains current on legislative trends using various research methods
• prepares written analysis of legislation for the Registrar of Voters
• implements outreach and marketing efforts such as corporate sponsorships
• manages logistics and works community events including nights and weekends
• supervises intern program to promote the work of the Registrar of Voters
• writes and manages grants, reports and award applications
• takes on election related responsibilities along with other special projects

Qualifications:

Requires two years of experience performing legislative analysis and/or event coordination.  A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, Communications, Marketing or a closely related area of study may substitute for the required experience.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in the competencies and attributes listed in the job bulletin
