The County Counsel is the legal advisor to the County of Santa
Clara. The Office of County Counsel commits to professionalism
and to understanding and furthering the needs and goals of the
Board of Supervisors and County agencies; adhering to the highest
standards of ethics and confidentiality.
This individual will be a proven executive who is progressive, energetic, responsive, politically astute and confident leader who is flexible, a good problem solver and customer service oriented. Should be a team player and possess the vision to advance the Agency’s services. Additionally, this individual will thrive in a high pressure, fast paced, dynamic and changing environment with constantly shifting priorities. Interpersonal skills and the ability to relate and adjust to a variety of situations and personalities, and to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization.
Must be an active member with the California State Bar, a minimum 7 years’ experience in professional legal work, including 3 years of practice in civil law, and experience in organizing, coordinating and directing the administration of a professional, administrative and clerical staff.
