Salary:

Deputy County Counsel-$ 27.84-$33.62 hourly, plus benefits

Senior Deputy County Counsel-$30.59-$36.96 hourly, plus benefits

Description:

Lassen County offers a beautiful rustic mountain range with a wide variety of nearby recreational activities. The Deputy/Senior Deputy County Counsel will confer with and advise County officers and employees on legal questions pertaining to their respective powers, duties, functions and obligations. The ideal candidate will prepare formal legislative measures, contracts, leases, conveyances and other legal documents and perform a wide variety of legal research.

Qualifications:

​Education – Equivalent to a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Experience — Deputy County Counsel: Trial experience with Public Sector and family law experience preferred. Senior Deputy County Counsel: A combination of one year of trial experience with public sector and family law experience required, or, one year as a Lassen County Deputy County Counsel.
