Description:

The County of Humboldt is recruiting for the position of Director of Child Support Services.  This position is responsible for managing and administering the child-support programs, functions, budgets, and activities for Humboldt County and works under policy direction provided by the Board of Supervisors and California Department of Child Support Services. Additionally, they will provide work direction for attorneys and will serve as liaison with the Courts. The budget for FY 2014-15 will consist of $5,200,000 with 46 FTE allocated positions.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the experience necessary to work with an actively involved and diverse County and will possess the skills and abilities necessary to effectively communicate and work with the Board of Supervisors and various public and private organizations. Strong budgetary skills are highly desirable. Possession of a four-year college degree with major course work in business or public administration, and four years of supervisory or administrative experience in a child support services setting which has included budget administration, program planning, implementation and administration is desired.
