Salary:

$108,811 – $138,875 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits

Description:

Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. PCWA is headquartered in Auburn and provides water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water and the production of hydroelectric energy.

PCWA is seeking an energetic individual to lead the Agency’s Field Services Department, planning and directing activities for the operation and maintenance of canals, pipelines, reservoirs and related appurtenances involved in the delivery of water throughout the Agency’s water and power systems and the maintenance of the Agency’s fleet. This position is a key interface with customers, stakeholders and the public and provides technical expertise for the integrity of the Agency’s water distribution system.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will have six years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of a water distribution and/or operations system, including three years of administrative and management responsibility. Possession of a valid California Department of Public Health Water Distribution Operators Certificate, Grade 4 is required within one year of employment.
