San Joaquin County is seeking a proven leader to lead and manage the General Services Department. The Director of General Services is responsible for directing the organization and administration of capital projects, building maintenance and repair, grounds maintenance, and property management for government buildings and County parks. The Director will also oversee the Office of Emergency Services and Parks and Recreation. The position is an executive level at-will position in San Joaquin County.
Desirable qualifications include graduation from an accredited college with a major in architecture, engineering, construction management, parks and recreation administration, public or business administration, or related field. Five years of progressively responsible management experience either 1) managing major building maintenance and repair program; 2) managing parks and recreation programs, including responsibility for grounds maintenance; or 3) capital projects management.
