Description:

The County of Santa Clara seeks a Director, Office of Cultural Competency for Children Services who will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and implementing County-wide policies and programs that address the racial and ethnic disparity within County services. This position reports to the County Executive or designee and provides executive leadership as part of a central, cross departmental effort to address the challenges of the disproportional representation of children of color within the Social Services Agency and Juvenile Probation.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would typically acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this function through attainment of a Bachelor’s Degree in
Psychology, Education, Business or Public Administration and a minimum of three to five years administrative/management experience directing or overseeing programs for children and adolescent service programs within a large organization.
