$119,463-$145,840/yr.; salary effective 7/6/14: $121,853-$148,757/yr.

Description:

The County of Nevada, California seeks a Health and Human Services Agency Director to plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor all activities and operations of the County’s Health and Human Services Agency consisting of behavioral health, child support services, public health and social services.

This includes alcohol/drug programs, public assistance, as well as related administrative duties. Initiate, direct and provide leadership in the design and development of multiple and significant integrated programs and client service plans; plan, direct and provide leadership in the implementation, administration and on-going management of Agency programs; and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social science, health administration, counseling, business/public administration or a related field (Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred) AND at least five years of progressively responsible experience in public administration, including at least four years of administrative and management responsibility.
