The County of Yolo is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its Health Officer. This is an at-will and part time assistant department head position with responsibilities of administration of the department and will coordinate and integrate resources of health care to improve community health.
Requirements of the position include:
License: Current Physician and Surgeon’s Certificate issued by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California and possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
Education: M.D. Degree, completion of one year of graduate work, Master’s Degree in Public Health is preferred.
Experience: Four (4) years of responsible experience as a Public Health Physician.
Certification: Certification or eligibility for certification in one of the following medical specialties recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties: Preventive Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Obstetrics.
