Description:

One of Nevada’s most desirable county’s is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Recourses Manager.  The County has a population of 54,000 and is nestled at the foothills of the sierras.  We are 20 minutes east of beautiful Lake Tahoe and one hour south of Reno, “The Biggest Little City in the World”!

Under the direction of the County Manager this position plans, directs, and administers all County human resources functions, including recruitment and selection, job classification and compensation, EEO and ADA issues, risk management, training, employee relations, collective bargaining, staff development, and benefits administration.  Douglas County has over 600 full time, part time and seasonal employees.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Relations or related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible technical personnel experience, of which at least two (2) years includes supervisory experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Labor negotiations highly desirable. PHR or SPHR certification required with application).
