Salary:

$72,762 to $97,016 / Annually

Description:

The Juvenile Services Director will plan, organize, direct and evaluate the delivery of services and programs for the Juvenile Services Department, juvenile detention and prevention programs, which include mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability contracts management.  Participate in inter-agency and community education programs aimed at services to youth and human services is essential.  The Director will have broad knowledge of social work theory, practice and procedures applied to human services, social work, juvenile justice, principles and methods of program administration including public relations, personnel management, fiscal management and knowledge of  the judicial system, Oregon criminal and juvenile laws, Oregon Revised Statutes, mental health and substance abuse issues and grant management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences, public administration, criminology, psychology, law enforcement or related field.  Five years of experience in human services and/or the juvenile justice profession.  Master’s Degree is desirable.
