Salary:

$74,131.20 – $99,320.00 Annual DOE

Description:

Under general direction, plans, coordinates and directs the Agency’s public outreach and education efforts in the areas of public involvement, legislative affairs, transit, YARTS, recycling and waste diversion, and commute alternatives; facilitates media interactions; manages development and content of MCAG, The Bus, YARTS, and SJVCOGS websites; manages MCAG One Voice/Valley Voice Legislative advocacy programs; works with federal lobbyist; supervises and participates in the work of assigned staff; provides complex staff support to the Executive Director; performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Public Information Officer. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in public information, including two years of supervisory experience, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, journalism, or a related field.
