Description:

Full time management position in the Department of Public Works.  Under direction of the Assistant Director of Public Works, the Fleet Manager plans, administers and supervises the Department of Public Works Fleet Services activities.  This includes determining work priorities and staff assignments, developing contract specifications for equipment and services, preparing cost estimates of labor and equipment, assisting in the preparation and administration of the operating budget, working with State, Federal and local agencies, monitoring and updating preventive maintenance programs for Department equipment, evaluating staff, and directing the repair and maintenance of road construction, sanitation, and landfill heavy and light equipment.
