$40-$50 hourly, DOQ

Description:

Working for Local Government Services and assigned to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in Oakland, California, this position will be responsible for: (a) serving as project manager and technical lead on the Freeway Performance Initiative’s (FPI) freeway corridor studies and ramp metering implementation plans, (b) conducting technical review of traffic operations analysis and freeway macroscopic simulation models, © managing and directing work of on-call technical consultants, (d) developing and managing procurements, contracts,  task orders, scopes, budgets, and consultant invoices for FPI studies, (e) providing support analyses and/or technical reviews of transportation planning studies lead by MTC or partner agencies, and (f) and preparing transportation planning analyses and reports.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in transportation, traffic or civil engineering, transportation planning, and/or urban planning AND: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field related to the position is required.
