CSAC Names New Director of Operations & Member Services
Jean Jordan Has Strong Background in Association Management and Counties
Jean Jordan has been appointed Director of Operations & Member Services for the California State Association of Counties (CSAC), Executive Director Matt Cate has announced.
Ms. Jordan brings a wealth of association and county experience
to CSAC. For the past four years she has served as the Executive
Director of Administrative Services for the California District
Attorneys Association. As part of her position, she was also the
Director of Violence Against Women and Victims of Crime Projects.
Her career encompasses nearly 15 years of work in three counties:
Yolo, Santa Cruz and San Diego. She began her career as an
Assistant Public Defender in Yolo County. From there, she served
as Executive Director for the Yolo County Sexual Assault and
Domestic Violence Center, which provides a variety of
crisis-intervention services for children and adults who are
victims of sexual assault, abuse or domestic violence. Ms.
Jordan then worked in Santa Cruz and San Diego Counties as a
member of the District Attorneys’ Family Protection Units before
returning to Yolo County as a Deputy District Attorney.
Ms. Jordan’s volunteer experience is equally impressive. She
serves as Board Chair of Fourth and Hope, a non-profit whose
mission is to provide a continuum of care for the hungry and
homeless in Yolo County. She is also Board Chair of the Yolo
County Family Justice Center.
During her four years at the California District Attorneys
Association, Ms. Jordan helped to develop a number of new
programs, ensured smooth running of operations and worked to
enhance member value. Her first day at CSAC will be Monday,
October 21.
“We are excited to have an individual with Jean’s experience and skills join the CSAC team,” Cate said. “She understands associations, she understands counties and she understands what is needed to enhance our advocacy and education efforts on behalf of California’s 58 counties.”
